Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #8

It's week 8 of the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and this is my DT card for the theme this week which is 'Decoupage' set by the fabulous Jane. I took the photo of my card against some rust coloured card stock, it is not part of my finished card.

I kept the card simple this week as there was so much colour in the image it was difficult to find a backing paper that looked right, so I decided to just use a plain white hammered card. The decoupage image was a free download from Monica. The scallop was from the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge and the butterflies were from the Storybook Cricut cartridge. I used some contrasting coloured card for matting and layering.

If you're a fan of Sarah Kay keep your eyes peeled on my online shop as I have the new Sarah Kay Collection 2 stamps on the way and they should be on sale sometime in the next week. They are scrummy too!

If you like a bargain I'm still offering 10% off the Rachelle Anne Miller and Sarah Kay christmas stamps too.

See you again next week.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #7

This is my DT card for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge this week which has been set by the lovely Claire and it's a theme 'Cute as a Button'.

The papers I used are unknown - they were free downloads which have been sitting on my computer for ages. The cute image was stamped by me by my dear friend Jane and I have coloured with Promarkers. The oval frame was cut using my new Expression (I can't stop looking at it and stroking it) and for this I used the Storybook cartridge. The buttons are Pink assortment from Woodware and I have used flat backed pearls in baby pink to decorate the scalloped corners for which I used the Woodware Scalloped circle punch and cut to fit. I typed the sentiment in Word and printed on Safmat film, I love using this - it works like rub ons but you can print them yourself on your computer. The flowers in the corners are made using the Asterisks cuttlebug die and finished with gems from my stash.

Thank you to everyone for taking part again last week, it's so encouraging to have so many lovely comments and entries and we all look forward to seeing all those fabulous cards.

I have the Sarah Kay and Rachelle Anne Miller Christmas stamps on offer at the moment with an extra 10% discount - grab yours while you can as I won't be restocking - if you'd like to take a look you can find them here and here.

I'll be back again soon.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #6

First of all, I apologise for being late with my post today - I've been having horrendous problems for weeks now with my internet connection and this morning it played up again just
when I needed it most.

The sketch over on the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge this week is a simple sketch set by me - I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

My card is 6" square and for this I used double sided 12"x12" paper (sorry I don't know who by as it was the last one in my box and I cut it up before looking at the name on the edge of the paper). The central flower was all done on my Cricut using the Accent Essentials cartridge. I found a contrasting darker card from the 'Dual-Tone textured cardstock - Blues' pad and used this for parts of the flower and the Scallop which was cut using the 'Plantin Schoolbook' cartridge. The green lace was in my stash and the letters were cut in white linen card again using Plantin Schoolbook. I added a jewel brad for the centre of the flower and a few gems to the edge to liven it up a bit.

Hope you enjoy the challenge again this week - there are some lovely cards by the Design Team, thank you ladies!

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #5

Here we are starting a new month and week 5 of the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge which has been set this week by Jill and it is a sketch with the theme brown, pink and white.

This is my card - I haven't made a card with this colour combination before and I really enjoyed making it. Everything I have used for the card is from Pink Petticoat. The dottie paper was printed with white spots and I coloured them pink with a Rose Pink Promarker pen. Just added a few gems, brads and stickles. The border was cut using my favourite Fingerguard Trimmer with the 'Wave' blade.

Check out the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge blog to see who has won the October monthly prize.

A very big thank you to all those who took part, it's really exciting to be able to see all your beautiful cards and to read your kind comments.

Keep crafting.
